Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and ArcelorMittal Orbit

Originally crafted for the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park now stands as a testament to sportsmanship, culture, and community. This sprawling area is not just a sporting venue, but also a serene public park for leisure and relaxation.

Directions: From Stratford International Station, it is a short 11 minute walk to the entrance of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Once you leave the station turn left onto Celebration Avenue and find the path on your left hand side, follow the path until you reach Glade Walk and at the bottom of this one you will find the Olympic Park. 

Discover Children's Story Centre

Perfect for families seeking a touch of whimsy and imagination, the Discover Children's Story Centre is an immersive space designed for children and their families to explore stories and fantasies. Just a stone's throw away is the Sunrise Close Playground in East Village - a delightful public playground for kids to burn off some energy.

Directions: The Discover Centre is just 18 minutes away walking from Stratford International. Getting here is very easy, once you leave the station head to the bridge Stratford Town Centre Link and turn right once you have crossed the bridge. Follow Great Eastern Road all the way to High Street and you will find it right across the road. 

Sunrise Close Playground is just 6 min walk from the station via Celebration Avenue.

Roof East

 

Adults can embrace their playful side at Roof East, a rooftop playground featuring a myriad of games, events, and the renowned Rooftop Film Club offering outdoor cinema experiences under the stars.

Directions: Accessible by a 12 min walk. You can either cross through Westfield Shopping Centre or have a short walk around this one to Stratford Town Centre Link bridge. Once you have crossed the bridge, Roof East is across the road at Stratford Centre.

Directions: Directly accessible from Stratford International Station, just follow the signs to Westfield Shopping Centre which is a 3 minute walk away.
